Lucario for Brawl!

I just feel like saying this, I think that Lucario should have a place in brawl, unlockable or not.
Why? Here's a list of reasons:

1: Very popular as of late
2: Fighting type pokémon (steel type as well)
3: Had his own movie
4: Humanoid shape ideal for battling in brawl
5: Knows Aura Ball, ideal projectile move
6: Nintendo promotes him somewhat, in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon the ultimate rank is the Lucario rank
7: The Lucario in the movie has telepathy, much like Mewtwo
8: High offence and speed but average defence in the games, this would be good for an even brawl character
9: 4th generation pokémon, would help Nintendo to promote Diamond and Pearl
10: Need I say it? Kick ass design.

So there you have it, I think that this character should be in brawl, and I've actually presented 10 good reasons for him as well. Does anyone agree with me? How about some character ideas of your own? With reasons and all. :)

I agree. He's good enough to be in Brawl... And he might be in it as an unlockable for all we know.

I like Pokémon, but I've never really seen an pokémon as good as Lucario. :)

Since ALL pokémon (bar pikachu) have had to be unlocked in the previous games, Lucario should he make it will likely be unlockable too.

Midna of course! She can use her Teilight powers for various things )levitating enemies, bringing up a force field etc.) and her final smash could be turning into that giant spider thing when she uses the pieces of fused shadow! :D Anyone agree with me?

Nah, she was an assistant character, if anything, she should get an assist trophy.

Good idea! I prefer Mewtwo over lucario and Sonic Over any other 3rd party Character but this might be a good idea for a fighter

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Mewtwo was taken out of brawl, because he was actually a pretty bad character in melee.

Yeah, but not too many.

We had 4 pokémon in Melee last time, out of the 26 available characters that's 15% of the roster were pokémon, slight unbalance there for multiple series.

first off, i agree, lucario would totally kick ass, but about the response to magnum 19's post, i was actually decent with mewtwo, though my main was balanced between ganon, samus, and young link

I disagree, we've already had a demonstration of how psychic pokémon just don't work in Melee.

That would be awesome if Lucario was in Brawl. You're not the first person I heard this idea from, too. So, obviously a lot of people would love to see him make it into brawl. He'd certainly kick Mewtwo's ass.
Plus, they might have gotten rid of Jigglypuff or Pichu. Therefore alowing a spot for a new pokemon.

Pichu I could understand, because he's a crappy clone, but Jiggly would likely stay as the first unlockable of the game.

I mean he has been around from like the birth of the NES but never appeared in a Super Smash Bros game.

If they used his sword move from the NT warrior series and give him the armour from the original Megaman series he would look cool.

BTW about Sonic, I kinda felt that SEGA would never dream to put Sonic in a SSB game. They still have a grudge with Nintendo for losing the console wars. Ah well maybe someday we'll have the opportunity to see an official game that gives the player the opportunity to see Sonic VS Mario.

Megaman is a no brainer, he's very popular and Capcom's mascot.

Don't bullshit yourself about any Sega grudges, Sonic advance 1, 2, 3, Sonic Pinball Party, Sonic Rush, Sonic Rush Adventure, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 DX, Sonic Heroes, Sonic Mega Collection, Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis, Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. These are all sonic games on recent Nintendo consoles.

I want Simon Belmont. I love Castlevania (favorite 3rd party game franchise), and Simon would be great for brawl. His main weapon would (of course) be the Vampire Killer. His sub-weapons could be his extra moves, and his final smash could be the Grand Cruz ability. Plus, Sir Pongo, we are getting an official Mario Vs. Sonic game. It is called Mario and Sonic at the Olympic games. It is even in Rupee's journal.

But that would make for 2 konami characters so don't count on it.

there's already 4 pokemon characters in SSB.

They need to start respecting their other franchises. It's taken 3 games now for them to FINALLY add another Kirby character. Samus is still by herself. Falco sucked dick. Too many useless Mario characters.

I wouldn't be surprised if Pichu and Mewtwo both got cut, one's a clone, one sucked. Removing the two of these and putting in Lucario would be great in my opinion.

Sakurai, the developer of smash bros also does kirby, he didn't put Metaknight in Melee because he felt that would be unfair to the other series.

Samus wasn't alone in being alone, Donkey Kong, Yoshi, Ness, etc.

Falco was actually somewhat popular, but still a clone.

Yes, way too many Mario characters, they can ditch Peach, bowser's alright, Dr Mario was pathetic, gotta have Luigi.
