I might be interested in doing a TGF2 game sometime, I used to make them all the time before I began flash animation.

Lucario's Moveset and my predictions.

Posted by RupeeClock - February 5th, 2008

I don't know if you saw, but a while back I was hoping for Lucario in Brawl, and made up a moveset that I thought would suit him, I'm going to dissect that now.

What I predicated will be bolded, what is actually in Brawl will be italic.

B - Aura sphere attack, charges like Mewtwo's Shadow ball, can be launched and then directed slightly with the control stick.
Yes, he uses Aura Sphere just like this, but without the guiding that I hoped for.

Forward B - Force Palm, hard to hit enemies with bunch successful hits leave opponents temporarily stunned, use to advantage, grab then, combo them, smash them, etc.
It IS Force Palm, but it works nothing like this. Lucario either grabs the enemy depending on range, then shoots his fist forward in a burst of aura energy, very effective but not paralysing.

Down B - Counter, blocks enemy attack with aura powers and repel it back at them, doubles % damage
I don't know about the 2x damage thing, but I was right on the money, he detects it and then launches an attack. Seems to have few frames for countering though, in contrast to Marth.

Up B - Quick Attack, just like Pikachu's quick attack (but obviously, not an electric attack as mistakenly done in Melee)
Wrong, he uses Extreme Speed, it's similar to Fox's Side-B, except it can be guided up or down, and then curved during movement. It's actually a very effective recovery move together with his wall-clinging ability.

Final Smash - Lucario manipulates aura to heighten his senses, which slows down gameplay for everyone except Lucario, doing so allows Lucario to make easy hits until he tires from using aura for the rest of the match.
Also wrong, Lucario uses what appears to be Hyper Beam. He jumps to the top of the screen, then shoots towards where you point the analogue stick. If it hits an enemy it can do about 28%, but it's very effective for ensuring a KO as it's hard to dodge.

So I was actually pretty damn accurate there, what I thought his final smash would be, ended up being a useful item anyway, the stop watch.

Oh, and here's the real kicker, Lucario has a unique ability that no other character does, as he takes more damage, he deals more damage.

0% - 1.00x damage
50% - 1.25x damage
100% - 1.50x damage
150% - 1.75x damage
200% - 2.00x damage

DAYUM, this is quite an ability we're talking about here, Lucario not easy to knock out either.

One other thing, he Down-Arial attack is extremely useful, he slows in the air and kicks his feet downward twice with aura bursts, it's actually pretty damage dealing.

Lucario in brawl? Not only did he make it, but he's a damn fine character to play as too.

Lucario's Moveset and my predictions.

What about Wolf? Hes a pretty good character too...

or toon link,
or ness,
or captain falcon.

I've not played a lot of Wolf, but he did kick my ass a number of times when trying to unlock him.

Toon Link is definitely good, I can see myself using him comfortably.
Ness, not so much.

Captain Falcon is good but has too much reliance on power moves, I work on getting the damage up.

Lucario would definitely be my main, given that he suits my fighting style, AND I hoped for him too.

Although I was hoping for Lucario to be featured Brawl, I had no idea that Nintendo would actually put him in Brawl. I thought they would at the most make him into a trophy but, they didn't.

Popular in Pokemon AND Brawl, Lucario is a fave among Nintendo fans.

He's a good pokémon in Diamond and Pearl, he's a good fighter in Brawl, he's a good character in his pokémon movie too.

Lucario has brought a lot back to pokémon, he's a great character design.

Is rob good rupee? And anyways i can't wait to get brawl myself. I played a mean game of melee back in the day. I could beat 3 level 9 coms with ness and 3 lives. Is the stage builder fun?

Yes, he's very good.
And the stage builder, I'll let you know when I've unlocked more building parts.

Not to sound like a noob but who is Wolf and toon Link?

Wolf is Fox's rival or enemy from the Starfox games, i'm not sure.

Toon Link is basically the Link from Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Minish Cap, etc.

Is Captin Olimar's gameplay prepalexing or is it easy to use?

I've not extensively tried him yet, I'll found out by the end of a classic mode playthrough.

his final smash should be close combat he rushes over the his oponet and hits them with a bunch of powerful hits and insted of quik attack bone rush and its damage gets higher with ever hit

I have been hoping for Lucario in Brawl, too. He kicks ass compared to shitty ol' Mewtwo.

Mewtwo may have been shit in Melee, but he is a force to be reckoned with.
He should not be forgotten simply because he had a horrible moveset in melee.

I have to admit, Lucario is very easy to control, and is a very good character too, but I just plain suck with Lucario's combos...

It takes practice, and then you can always just spam his down-aerial or his aura spheres.

I'm gonna pwn you this summer! Just wait and see :P
Btw, those sprites from Brawl everybody is using are made by a spanishard ^__^

So yeah, even more I hurt you, Lucario has more power eh? I should smash you out as soon posible in that case :V

Lucario isn't that easy to knock away you know.

Man, i tottaly want to say "Spoiler Alert," but i guess it dosn't really matter now...

Anyway, Brawl might be the sole reason i buy a Wii.

Ba<a href="http://www...I">www...I</a>'m just dissapointed that Phoenix Wright was nowhere in the game. An assist trophy, a playable character, a sticker? Music? A stage? ANYTHING? Nothing. That really made me dissapointed.

But on the plus side, Lucario and R.O.B. will be my mains. R.O.B. sounds like he kicks ass, and is a very...unique...player....
Is Pichu playable in this? I would hope to god not.
Game and Watch was surprising. Didn't he'd make anywhere but melee.
