I might be interested in doing a TGF2 game sometime, I used to make them all the time before I began flash animation.

I was getting bored of the same old header graphic, so I decided to piece something together.
In addition to the same values I used last time, I've included the Rupoor from Phantom Hourglass, a Rupoor will actually take your Rupees away from you somehow, I don't really understand HOW, but it does.
You'll see there's 3 different positions of the gem as well, angled to the left, right and centre slightly, I think they came out well.

So, feedback would be appreciated, but none of that usual meaningless praise please, I want comments that I can actually WORK with to improve myself.

And to the first person who can figure out the total number of Rupees in my header (based on the values of Twilight Princess and the Rupoors from Phantom Hourglass), well, I guess I'll say that you're right. :p

They kinda look like jelly beans.

Rupees rupees everywhere!

After Parcelforce fucked up 3 times, Novatech delivered the system just a few hours after I enquired, I've now got my Dual Core processor, 2gb ram, 500gb HDD, Geforce 8600 graphics card computer!

Already it's really damn fast, and I've got to set it up and shit, joy.
Here's hoping everything goes well.

Edit: Working great so far, there was an odd fuckup with the graphics that only took a simple reset, and I've successfully recovered my personal copy of Firefox, with extensions and bookmarks and all, joy!
Next, I gotta put my old 320gb HD in and keep it in there.

Edit: Here's a sprite I ripped from a game that I dumped myself, hooray for PC powerful enough to emulate 2d DS games.

FINALLY.

Well, it seems my current computer has suddenly shit right up.
I can't turn the thing on now, after putting it into sleep mode it just won't turn on at all, fuck.

It's forced my hand, I had to buy the new computer I wanted NOW rather than later.
I was going to order the computer when I got the money but now I have to get it ASAP, which'll be Friday thankfully.

Until then, I've got to use my mum's old computer to get on the internet, thankfully I've got my portable firefox with a lot of my personal settings on it, not all of them though simply because some extensions or bookmarks would be too personal for a workplace or not compatible due to firewalls (E.G. Internet banking and shopping.)

Maybe if I'm lucky, I WILL be able to turn my old hunk of junk back on soon, I got lucky but put it back into sleep mode to see if it was a one-off error, big mistake. Otherwise, I don't think I can count on getting my personalised home firefox back, but at least I will still have all my flash projects, videos, music, pictures, documents, DS files and such safe on my other hard drive, which I'm just gonna put into my new computer, nice.

Edit: The system was due to be delivered on Friday, but didn't arrive.
I'll just have to wait until Monday now, great. At least I have the week off.

Edit: Parcelforce FUCKED UP, fucking Royal Mail package delivery.
They somehow "missorted" my package (that's not even a WORD) and the tracking page says it was refused by the addresse, refused by WHO?!

Enough said.

This computer have served me well over the years, but it's time that I get an upgrade because I need something faster for my flash animation and graphics, and general computing lifestyle.

I've been looking to spend around £600 on a new computer, thanks to winning monthly 5th on August 2007 for SleepEasy and earning £113, as well as receiving regular EMA bonuses for attending college (£30 a week, with a recent £100 bonus) that goal is very much in site.
Even more so because my 18th birthday is coming up soon, I've asked for money just for this purpose.
I've been looking for a good system of course, 2gb of DDR ram and a good dual core processor, something that can really run Vista. Vista may be a spec hog but it's a nice system.

Anyhow, I've looked at Novatech.co.uk and found this system.

https://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/sp ecpage.html?PC-2004

It has that 2gb of RAM, 800Mhz which is nice and a Intel Core 2 Duo processor which is great.
It also has an Nvidia 8600GT 512mb graphics card which is superb, and I can get it with Vista Home Premium (because there's no reason to get Ultimate) for £533, which is even cheaper than I wanted, superb.

It's gonna be a while till I actually order this, I'm a few hundred short of course, but in the mean time does anyone else have any computer recommendations for a UK PC buyer?
And before you bring it up:

No, I want Vista because XP CANNOT utilize a duel core processor I'm afraid.
No, I don't want a Mac because they are not better at doing graphics (they USED to be years ago until graphics cards existed)
No, I do not want Linux, I want a comfortable environment, I've used Windows for years.
No, I am not going to pirate Vista.
No, I do not want a laptop because I do not find them comfortable.

If you've ever heard of WindowsBlinds, it's a skinning utility for Windows XP and Vista.
Ordinarily I'd prefer using Uxthemes, but NOBODY made a worthwhile Vista Uxtheme skin, at least not until it was broken by a windows update that is. (The problem actually lies in the skin files.)

Anyhow, I got Windows Blinds 5 a while ago, and I was entitled to version 6 which just came out, very nice.
Immediately there's a REALLY nice skin called Classic that comes packaged together, it comes in a icky yellow, and a REALLY AWESOME BLUE, it's actually coloured like XP but looks like Vista in some respects, eitherway it's really nice.
Initially the skin is too saturated, but thankfully you can modify the skin colours quite easily to your preferences, I reduce their richness and it looks awesome.
But what really takes the cake is that you can modify the transparency for the individual elements, the taskbar, rightclick menu, start menu and window frames, and really well. (And because I have Vista, I get blurring options!)

So after messing about with it, wow, you get a really awesome desktop, I'm going to enjoy this for a long time.
They did a great job with updating it, this nicely demonstrates that Vista can actually do some great graphical work from a third party.

(See full scale)

So WindowsBlinds 6 came out.

Sweet. If there's one thing I love doing, it's completing a game to the absolutely max.
I hope they don't try anything stupid like that damn Diskun trophy in Melee though, getting every single bonus and penalty in the game is far too difficult.

Eitherway, simply collecting the trophies in Brawl will be plenty fun, but the fact that I can to collect stickers as well to play around with, and grab CDs to change stage music is superb, so much to do, what else is there Sakurai? You've sold me already.

So, Smash Bros is giving us stickers, CDs and trophies to collect in game?

YES.

YES.

YEEEEEEES.

They've confirmed Wifi play with Smash Bros Dojo's 100th site update, FANTASTIC!
They've even done it in the best ways possible to compensate for the friendcode system!

For one, you can add friends through the usual 12 digit system, no complaints here.
In addition to that, you can set a username and icon to display, as well as a little message and some pre-set taunt messages, very nice.

As for playing against random people, you won't know who you're playing again which makes things interesting, will you play a total pro or a beginner? People won't disconnect just because you have a brilliant win record either, since there isn't one. (When I played Mario Kart DS a lot, I had 392 wins and 9 losses, no joke.)
I imagine the anonymity thing also helps one other thing that Sakurai pointed out: Increased distances between players causes lag which can't be avoided. If playing against random people, i'd be more concerned about kicking their ass rather than who they are and talking to them during the match.

All in all, this is going to be the best smash bros ever, I can say this from personal experience too actually! You see, using emulators and such, you can play Super Smash Bros 64 on the PC and even play it ONLINE with other people, with the right equipment. I've done it a number of times with my friends and it's so damn fun. (The only problem is that everyone on the server I was playing with were absolute pros.)

So yeah, I am SO looking forward to this now, although I still hope that Lucario gets into Brawl, since I still think he could be a great figher.

And hey, you get to beat the shit out of sand bag whilst you wait, which is awesome since you do get bored waiting for that Mario Kart wifi waiting process. ;)

Super Smash Bros Brawl: WIFI PLAY CONFIRMED.
